Easy Chickpea’sy Hummus
I first tried this particular recipe at a kid’s Birthday Party and his Mum kindly shared the recipe with me and now we make it once a week – I’m not even kidding!!
- 1 small clove garlic crushed
- 1 can Chick Peas
- 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Tahini (sesame seed paste)
- 50ml lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon water
- ¼ teaspoon cumin
- sprinkle of paprika
- salt & pepper to taste
Basically you just throw everything (minus the Paprika) into a food processor and blend till you get to your preferred consistency – we like ours to be well blended without any large lumps.
Then simply sprinkle some paprika on top.
My kiddos just LOVE Hummus – they love it with crackers, veggie sticks and even on a sandwich! Their absolute favourite is when they dip a cracker in the dip then dip that in some seed mix.
Give it a try and let us know what you think.
