Like many Australians I haven’t been able to find any Hand Sanitiser in ANY of my local stores… this led me googling how to make my own. I was happy to discover and test this recipe and thought it worth sharing with you all too.
Ingredients:
1/3 Cup of Aloe Vera Gel
2/3 Cup of 99% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol). *don’t use any other types of alcohol (e.g., methanol, butanol), as they are toxic.
How to make:
Simply mix the two ingredients together in a bowl. DONE! I used an old empty hand soap pump to store our germ killing gel.
CAUTION
Highly flammable. Keep away from fire or flame. For external use only. Avoid eyes. In case of eye contact, flush with water. Discontinue use if skin irritation occurs. If condition persists consult a doctor. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, contact a Poisons Information Centre (Phone: Australia 13 11 26, New Zealand 0800 764 766) or a doctor.
