We are so very lucky to be in Queensland right now and our hearts go out to our fellow Aussies who are in full lock down in Victoria with mandatory face mask use whilst outdoors. Our other comrades in NSW have been told that face masks are strongly recommended also.
I don’t know if you’ve ever had to wear a face mask, but they are super uncomfortable esepcially after long wear.
A Melbourne Mum has shared a clever hack to make face masks more comfortable thanks to an unlikely Kmart item.
We are all for Mum hacks over at Paging Fun Mums. You may remember ‘Marshmallow Mum Hack” for our strawberry Mousse that we made on My Kitchen Rules which caused quite the ‘stir’.
Nicole Peters has shared her trick on Facebook. She cleverly uses a removable and adjustable bra strap which she purchased from Kmart to hook around both elastic ear bands.
Nicole adjusts the strap to fit around the back of her head to keep face masks secured.
She says on Facebook “Is your elastic hurting your ears? Can’t get your hands on one of those mask tie back clips? Short on Money?, I have found the answer! Grab and old bra strap out and use that instead. What’s ever better is that you can adjust it to suit your head. You’re welcome”.
