The theme for this years Book Week was Australian Authors. My little girl LOVES the ‘Where it the Green Sheep’ book so her costume was a no brainer…you can check it out here. But I knew I had to think outside the box for my son.
Diary of a Wombat is a super cute book so I thought, why not create one of the ‘scenes’ from the book rather than sending my little man to school dressed as a giant Wombat 😉
As you can see, this costume is derived from the part where our cute Wombat has a little nibble of some clothes on a clothesline. It turns out it was actually a good idea as he won best costume! Yay!
It is super simple to make!
Get an umbrella and strip off the cover leaving your ‘clothes line’.
Peg on dolls clothes and glue on a little wombat to one of the pieces. It’s THAT easy!
This is going to double for his Halloween costume this year too!
