My kids (like every other human on the planet) LOVE ice-cream. I like to be accommodating with this…but I also like to make sure they are eating healthy. This recipe is a win/win!
You can make delicious, nutritious ice cream with only three ingredients at home! YES!
To make your own , you will need (serves 6 – 8)
6 bananas, peeled and chopped
2 mangoes, peeled and chopped
1 cup vanilla yoghurt (I use Greek because it’s so delicious!)
Place the banana and mango in an airtight container and freeze for 4 hours or until frozen.
Place the banana, mango and yoghurt in a food processor and process until lovely and smooth.
Serve immediately into ice cream cones or bowls & let the kids devour it!
If you don’t want to serve it straight away, return the mixture to an airtight container and put it in the freezer again. Simply let is soften for 5 or so minutes before serving!
