My kids love Spaghetti Bolognese and I love my slow cooker so this recipe is a win/win in my house!
Once you try this recipe and realise how simple & easy it is, I bet it becomes a staple in your house too!
Ingredients:
1 tbs olive oil
1kg beef mince
1 brown onion chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 (400ml) cans of chopped tomato
250ml of passata
2 tbs balsamic vinegar
3 fresh bay leaves
1 tsp dried basil
1 tsp dried oregano
Salt & ground black pepper
Method:
Step 1
Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Add olive oil, mince, onion & garlic. Cook until browned.
Step 2
Place cooked mince mixture into a slow cooker. Add canned tomatoes, passata, bay leaves, basil, oregano & salt & pepper to taste.
Step 3
Cook on low for 8 hours (0r high for 4 hours)
Step 4
Mix well & serve upon a bed of spaghetti!
This recipe will serve 6 easily! You can freeze the mince/sauce to save for later too!
