I’m very lucky to have one of my best friends and fellow ‘Fun Moms’ visiting from California for three weeks…so yesterday we spent an action packed day at Australia Zoo!
The Zoo is such a fun and educational place to visit with kids. I was surprised by how much knowledge my 4yo daughter retained & happily recited to everyone last night…I suppose their ‘hands on’ approach to learning about conservation really does the trick!
Feeding the Kangaroos and petting the Koalas proved yet again to be a highlight of the day. Baby M was looking forward to showing off his new gecko helmet sticker…not to be outdone by the cool Croc’s Rule one…we were pleased to meet another lovely coast family and their son who happened to be sporting a cool helmet too – little trendsetters ;).
Little Miss M enjoyed showing off their new Africa exhibit to her friends…All the kids were in awe watching the Giraffe keeper spray the Giraffe’s with a water pistol – they now all want to be Zoo keepers so they can play with water pistols & Giraffes all day (who wouldn’t) lol!
Don’t forget to check out Robert’s 9th Birthday present the model Sarcosuchus imperator – Weighing over five tonnes and measuring 13 metres long!!! So many great photo opportunities to be had here :).
We haven’t even scratched the surface of all the fun things on offer at the Zoo so make sure you check out their website for all the info…including their school holiday schedule http://www.australiazoo.com.au/
