We recently attended a wonderful Bloggers Brunch that was organised by our friends at Kids Business. We were thrilled to get the opportunity to meet with fellow Australian bloggers and also kid friendly brands.
Kids business organised this years brunch around the subject “Be Your Best”, we were treated to three lovely talks from inspirational women who focus on being their best and feeling happy within yourself.
We met a lovely volunteer who spoke about the wonderful work carried out by ‘Look Good…Feel Better‘. We had never heard of their work until that moment and we left the Brunch wanting to help spread their message and hopefully help to connect them with new volunteers, or perhaps this blog might help someone in need of their service.
What is ‘Look Good…Feel Better’?
‘Look Good…Feel Better’ is a free community service program. Their Mission is to help improve the well-being and confidence of people undergoing treatment for any sort of cancer.
They do this by providing free information and Look Good…Feel Better workshops for women, men and teens to help manage the appearance-related side effects caused by cancer.
We heard first hand about the amazing results these workshops provide, not just to make patients fighting cancer ‘look’ better but to also boost their self esteem and general well-being. They give patients the opportunity to meet others who are fighting the same battle, they gain love and support from the friendly volunteers also.
