These beaded plant markers were so easy to make and look so cute in our veggie patch! We found all the supplies at our local craft store.
Here’s what you’ll need –
- florist wire
- alphabet beads
- flower shaped beads
- round nose pliers
Instructions –
Start by bending a small swirl design at one end of a florist wire using a pair of round nose pliers. Start each design by threading a flower bead, followed by the letters to spell your plant, add another flower to the opposite end and then bend another swirl design. We then added two more kinks to the wire to complete the design.
You can watch the easy video tutorial here –
Then it’s just a matter of adding them to your garden by gently pressing the wire into the soil. We love how beautiful they look amongst our veggies and think this would make a great classroom activity too! Perhaps a great way to put children’s names on their individual plants in the school garden too?
Does your child’s school or kindergarten have a veggie patch?

love it! thanks for posting =)
What color and size floral wire did you use? Where did you buy it? I can only find green and I like yours…it looks brown.
Thanks!
