I am always looking for ways to get more veggies into my kids (what Mum isn’t) but my kids LOOOOOOVE chips (what kid doesn’t). So I combined our two loves and give you CAULIFLOWER BITES! They are healthy, gluten free, sugar free, fat free and most of all absolutely delicious! My Aunty was over when I was making these for the first time and fell in love with them. She couldn’t believe how simple they were to make and how yummy they were. She now makes them all the time to take to BBQ’s, lunches and parties!
To make your own you will need:
Cauliflower
Olive oil
Salt & Pepper
That’s it!
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees (celcius)
Step 2
Chop the florets off the cauliflower
Step 3
Place them in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil (enough to coat) and sprinkle with salt & pepper – to your taste and toss to coat
Step 4
Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper (or alfoil sprayed with Olive Oil)
Step 5
Bake for 30 minutes or until crunchy and brown
Serve with plain yoghurt sprinkled with cumin and a squeeze of lemon for a delicious party snack.
Serve as a delicious side to dinner.
Place in the kids lunch box.
looks great would love to try them
This is a great recipe. It would be awesome if you could submit it to our website http://www.cookingessence.com/recipes
It would go great with some of our products.
Thanks
Nick
I’ve made these before and I totally forgot about them! Definitely making these again soon!
Glad we could re-excite you Carly! They are seriously delicious right! Jenni x
Is the 180 degrees correct, the florets get brown & crispy at 180?
It’s 180 degrees celcius…I will alter the blog to reflect that! Thanks for letting us know…we don’t want to confuse our lovely fun mums! Jenni x
I googled the conversion and it is 356 degrees Fahrenheit or about 350 degrees if you need it! 🙂
It is about 375 degrees Fahrenheit
The receips that are there for kids are also good enough for the parents to make and add to there dinners, munchies, or finger foods. Thank You
I’ve had them before too. Once with a sweet mustard sauce and once again with a sweet/sour duck type sauce like you would use with an egg roll. Both were very good.
LOVE this! Made it last night for a cocktail party. Yum! Will also make for dinner in the future. Thx!!!
