This is so true. I was raised to treat every animal with respect – my mother is a complete sucker for animals!. She even contemplated letting us keep a three legged dog that followed us home from school….I named him Tripod.
This has definitely been past down to my son who uses any opportunity to go ‘worm fishing’ in the garden. He loves anything that crawls, creeps, meows, barks, you name it!
