To make these chicks you will need:
Blown Eggs
Coloured Tissue Paper
Paintbrush
Craft foam (or felt or cardboard)
Googly eyes
Feathers
Scissors
Craft/PVA Glue
The first step is to ‘blow out your eggs’ (ie remove all of the eggs insides so your craft does not go rotten!). Here’s a link on how to do that here.
The next step is to cut the tissue paper into strips & squares. I divided up the three colours into three separate containers for the kids.
Then brush your egg with the glue & stick on your tissue paper. You will need to do a few layers…we did three : )
Then cut the beaks & combs from the foam. I pre cut these for my kids as they are not quite ‘scissor savvy’ yet.
Then using the glue, add the beaks & combs. Then add your googly eyes & feathers to complete you gorgeous little chicks!
My kids LOVE their new little friends…Master L wants to take his to bed with him tonight lol!
These would make a great craft at Easter time too!
