These little bugs were so cute and FUN to make!
We had a fair few plastic spoons left over from my daughters birthday and I remembered a similar bug craft we have done in the past using bottle caps seen here.
Materials needed
- Scissors
- Sticky tape
- Plastic spoons
- Pipe cleaners (3 per bug)
- Googly Eyes
- Paper
- Felt pens

My daughter thought they would make a great hair accessory too ;).
We also thought it would be fun to make a butterfly so we followed the same steps as above but added wings to the wrapped pipe cleaners using cardstock that my daughter had coloured in.
So simple but so much FUN!
These would be perfect as a planned group activity in a school or playgroup setting, or it’s something fun and simple to do at home with the kids too.
If you liked this activity, we’re sure you will love this gorgeous Bug Craft from our friend at Crafts By Amanda. It also uses Plastic Spoons and is oh so adorable!
