This was super easy to create! All you need is 5 things! This makes a great gift for a teacher or a kiddies birthday! We have ours on our mantel. This is a very special photo taken from when my little girl was a few weeks old…I love the look on my little man’s face – such a proud big brother! Ahhhh, they are just so sweet!
What you will need:
Crayons
Glue Gun
Photo Frame
Bread board
Cutting Knife
I got my photo frame from Ikea for about $2 I believe! It is flat all the way around which is important.
You can position the crayons any which way…but I think it’s important to have them facing in all directions so to keep it interesting : )
I made sure I had a bit of a ‘play’ with the positioning of the crayons before I got to work.
So heat up your glue gun & start gluing!
You will find that you will need to ‘trim’ some of the crayons to fit into your perfectly uniformed frame. The best tool for this is a sharp kitchen knife. It’s good to mark where you need to cut your crayon with a pen first.
The above pic is for all of you who are unsure of what it looks like to cut a crayon with a knife lol!
That is all there is to it! We’d love for you to submit your frame to us! Let us know how you go!
Check out some of our other cool ways to use Crayons! : )
Looks fantastic!! What a terrific idea. I’m going to give this a go with my nearly 4 year old, will post a pic of our frame when we are done.
That would be great! We’d love to see how you go!
You can do a similar craft using old puzzle pieces glued to a frame.
What a great idea! Thanks Alicia! We might have to try that one! Jen x
