We love experimenting with Paints here at PFM! Check out our 20 Homemade Paint Idea Recipe Round up!
I had 5 packets of Marshmallows left over from a party & decided to experiment. It worked out great! It smelt divine and if the kids happened to get some in their mouths (which of course they did) it’s totally edible!
To make your own you will need
Marshmallows (white)
Food colouring
Coconut oil
Step 1
Add your marshmallows to a pot on medium heat and let them melt – stirring as you go. The amount of paint you want to make will depend on how many marshmallows you use.
Step 2
Add about 1 tbs of coconut oil to the melted marshmallows & stir (you may need to add a little more to thin it out correctly).
Step 3
Divide your mixture into separate bowls. I made 5 different colours.
Step 4
Add a few drops of food colouring to your mixture and stir!
Step 5
Get the kids a paintbrush and let them go nuts!
*note, you may need to reheat the paint in 5-10 second bursts to get the thin consistency back.
