We just love anything glow in the dark here at Paging Fun Mums! We’ve done Glowing Bath Paint, Glow in the dark Playdough, DIY Glow in the Dark Glitter and even a Glowing Water Blob. I thought we would try to make some cool Glow in the Dark Monsters for Halloween! Let’s face it though, these are fantastic for any time of year!
To make your Glow in the Dark Slime Monsters you will need:
I bottle of Elmers Glue (118ml)
118 ml of water
* 1/2 teaspoon of Borax (I bought mine at Bunnings Hardware store for $8)
1/4 cup hot water
Glow in the Dark Paint (we used about 2 teaspoons/colour)
Black Light
Decorations for your Monster (googley eyes, ping pong balls, Mr Potato Head Parts etc)
To learn how to make your ‘Slime’ (or Silly Putty) head to our link here: Glow in the Dark Silly Putty.
To embellish your Monsters you can use whatever you like! We used Ping Pong/Table Tennis balls that we got from the $2 shop for scary eyes…we drew on the pupil of the eyes with a black permanent marker.
We also used Mr Potato Head parts & googley eyes.
The kids loved to squish and squelch this cool slime and decorate their monsters they way they liked.
Once our little Monsters were made, we flicked off the lights and turned on the black light! The results are soooooo amazing! You have to give this a go!
