The Elf on a Shelf – A Christmas Tradition in our house each year. Read more about it here.
Well our Elf arrived back from the North Pole on the 1st of December…My 5 year old daughter was over the moon to see ‘Rain’ again (that’s what she called him when he first arrived last year).
I will update this blog each day to include new photos of the adventures our Elf on the Shelf gets up to. I’ll also try to include some links to other great ideas and blogs for you to follow.
If you’re on Pinterest this is a great Elf Board to follow – Best Elf on the Shelf Ideas {from a fantastic group of bloggers}.
Do you own an Elf? What is he/she’s name?

Day 1
Rain’s arrival in a postal box – we forgot to open it the night before so he busted himself out!
Day 2
Rain needed to get acquainted with our resident Dragons from ‘How to train your Dragon’ – he graduated with flying colours.
Day 3
Rain requested some Gingerbread Cookies – he even left everything we needed to make a Gingerbread House!!
Day 4
Safe to say Rain enjoyed the cookie and Gingerbread House we made…
Day 5
Oh dear – Both Rain and my 5yo Daughter came down with a bad tummy bug :(….or maybe they just enjoyed too much Gingerbread???
So great to see ‘Rain’ is back to good health again. It took Miss M a long time to find him this morning – even though he was right above her when she woke up lol. He left a tiny note requesting that she clean her room and sort some old toys for donating to charity (there is no space for any new ones!!).
This is my favourite one so far! ‘Rain’ constructed a tower of Weet-Bix & even enjoyed a bowl himself. I overheard Miss M when she found him “Oh my…Mum is not going to like this!”. I think she was referring to the mess he made while building lol.
Make sure to pop back from time to time to check up on ‘Rain’…or you see his pictures pop up on our Instagram feed here.
