I thought I would try my hand at a glass bauble ornament to get us into the Christmas spirit! So I got on good old Pinterest for some “Pinspiration” and came up with my version….a very girly one of course!
I found a pack of 6 glass baubles at Spotlight for about $6.99 (I have since found some plastic ones – more appropriate for the kiddies at The Reject Shop for $2 each).
Then I just needed a pipe cleaner, pom poms, googley eyes, cotton balls, a small length of ribbon, a few beads & the trusty glue gun and of course some bling! The best thing about these ornaments is you can get creative and stick on what ever you want!
So first things first, get your bauble & stuff it with cotton balls.
Then cut the pipe cleaner to size and glue to either side of the bauble/head. Then glue a pom pom on top each side to form the cute ear muffs.
Add the googly eyes, then tie a bow & glue (add bling if you like, you could also use a bead or button or just leave it plain).
Glue the beads for the nose and mouth – I also had a little bow in my “headband craft” box so I used that too….
Voila! You are done, ready to hang on the Christmas Tree!
