Jenni and Louise were guests of Destination NSW for the weekend.
When we first started our website we had no idea where it would take us or what opportunities would come from it. What started as an online way to document the FUN we have at home with our kids has turned into a full-time business for the two of us. We feel so blessed that we are capable of combining our passion, fun and creative flair and turning it into a business. The past six months have proven to be a very exciting and busy time for us both, we joined an amazing blogging agency The Remarkables and saw our eldest two children start primary school (giving us more time to spend improving and growing our website content).
We were very much looking forward to the annual ‘Remarkables’ GM meeting and 3rd birthday party in Sydney – partly because we were excited to have another opportunity to connect and brainstorm with our fellow bloggers but mainly (and selfishly) this gave us both an opportunity to enjoy a ‘girls weekend’ in the city! A chance to relax and step away from the regular balancing act of working full-time from home whilst raising a family. *here’s where we need to thank our amazing and supportive husbands who not only encouraged us to go but also filled our shoes at home while we were gone.
Destination NSW arranged some FUN activities and accommodation to keep us both busy and relaxed! Below are our the highlights –
Wild Ropes course at Taronga Zoo – Visiting Taronga Zoo is a must when you’re in Sydney…but if you want to see it from a new perspective you might enjoy this thrilling high ropes option. It was like a team building exercise for our team (of two) GO ‘Paging Fun Mums’!!
As if that wasn’t enough action for the day we went on to enjoy a two hour cruise aboard a 1850’s style tall ship in the Sydney harbour – we drew straws to decide who got to climb the mast – Louise it was! What an utterly AMAZING experience! The views were like nothing else…especially coupled with the adrenalin of climbing the 15 meter mast to stand at the crows nest!
After a quick stop back at our hotel to freshen up we were off to enjoy the Cocktail Hour concert at the Sydney Oprah House followed by a wonderful dinner at the hip and happening restaurant ACME (the Pig Head Macaroni is to die for!).
We had dinner at ACME last night after our quartet show at the @sydneysymphonyorchestra. The food was so unique & delicious & the staff energy levels are a must see! Head to Rushcutters Bay #sydney to see for yourself & order the Pork Macaroni…and please tell them we said hi! #acmerestaurant #acmesydney #divine #clublikeatmosphere #ilovesydney Jen & Lou xx A video posted by Paging Fun Mums (@pagingfunmums) on
After all this action and adventure it was lovely to return to our opulent room at the Langham Hotel.
The Langham provided the perfect place to relax, unwind and spend some ‘girly’ time in their day spa whilst we enjoyed a pool side massage.
Post spa juice at the @langhamsydney 💚. Such an amazing and tranquil space to enjoy our treatments. #relaxation #spa #sydney #ilovesydney #ahhhh #dontwanttoleave @destination_nsw Jen & Lou xx A photo posted by Paging Fun Mums (@pagingfunmums) on
The Langham has recently re-opened it’s doors after a 30 million dollar renovation and has also just been named in the Top 100 Hotels in the WORLD! Making it the best hotel in Australia – an accolade that is much deserved! You can read more about that here.
It was hard to say goodbye to such a beautiful city but duty was calling so we sadly said goodbye…until next time. Have you ever been to Sydney? What’s your favourite landmark there?
