My 6 year old daughter is really into threading beads at the moment, we’ve been busy making all sorts of fun bracelets and necklaces! Whilst she was playing in her fairy garden yesterday she asked if she could make the fairies some beads. We thought our beads were a little too large for their tiny bodies so we came up with an idea to create some beaded party garlands around their home! We used glow in the dark beads so it would light up like party lights when the sun goes down.
What you’ll need –
- Glow in the dark beads (these can be purchased at most craft stores)
- Thread or twine
- Scissors
- Twigs
Instructions –
Collect some twigs to act as poles and place them around your garden, measure the length of twine needed to reach around and then thread with beads. We kept a little room for the beads to move along the twine, this enabled us to wrap and tie the twine where needed.
Doesn’t it look fantastic! Such an easy and fun activity for any fairy lover! You might also enjoy the fun fairy garden kits here or choose to make your own Fairy Garden Tyre swing found here.
We have some fun videos you might like to check out whilst you’re here too! You can view them here.
