I would like to share a few photos and ideas from a baby shower I recently co-hosted for a good friend.
This is my friends third baby but she had never had a baby shower – she is lucky to have two geourgous boys and is now having a baby girl :). She is very excited to welcome some pink into her home!

We started by selecting a menu for an afternoon tea –
A variety of mini sandwiches
Mini Zucchini slices- http://wp.me/p2Uher-uk
Mini lemon tartlets

{If chocolate isn’t your thing try these yummy Mini Lemon Chessecakes} –http://wp.me/p2Uher-cY
Refreshments included,
Iced lemonade, champagne with fresh berries , orange Juice, Tea and coffee.
Decorations
I started by selecting a pretty pink range of printables I found on Etsy from Little Apples Designs https://www.facebook.com/LittleApplesDesign
http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/128493231/elephant-baby-shower-package-pink?ref=shop_home_active&ga_search_query=baby%2Bshower .
I just love the pink and light Grey colour combination and especially loved the cute elephant design.
Once printed its as easy as cutting each printable out. I used mini pegs and twine to hang the ‘baby shower’ banner.
Double sided tape to secure the straw flags on the Marshmallow Pops and also onto the tiny plastic spoons that were inserted into the mini cheesecakes.
The cupcake toppers were made with two scalloped printables, cut using a scalloped hole punch, stuck with a toothpick in-between and then inserted into the cupcake.
We made a ruffle around the table using cheap plastic tablecloths. You can find the full DIY info for that here – http://wp.me/p2Uher-1Gw
I also used a few photo frames to display some of the larger printables on the table.
also printed a set onto T-Shirt transfer paper and iron transferred the Elephant image onto a cute onsie – follow this link to see exactly how we did that http://wp.me/p2Uher-287
I re-used some handmade Tulle PomPoms to add some more girly pink decorations – (we will be posting a tutorial on these in the next couple of weeks…)
Party Activities ‘Games’ –
We wanted to avoid the usual ‘baby bingo’ games and stick to some that were more creative. We purchased some fabric markers and a bunch of baby singlets so each guest could design & create a personalised gift for the baby.
We also had fun writing funny comments onto some disposable nappies using some markers – that should be fun for Mum & Dad to read at 2am ;).
Both of the above activities allowed each guest to have a laugh and also be creative.
I couldn’t help getting a few pics of the two big brothers to be when they arrived to collect their Mum…I can’t wait to meet this new addition to one of our closest family friends.
I’ll be sure to post a pic of their baby girl in her new baby tutu!
