There are so many great ideas and activities that can be done with play dough! Easter is a great time to whip up some dough and have some FUN! All the shops are filled with plastic eggs, cookie cutters and plastic bunnies, egg cups, confetti and other things that are perfect for pairing with some colourful play dough.
Here is my fail-safe play dough recipe –
- 1/2 cup Salt
- 1 cup Flour
- 2 teaspoons Cream of Tartar
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 Cup Water
A few drops of the food colouring of your choice.
I add everything into a medium saucepan and continually mix over a medium to hot heat (it won’t take long so don’t walk away!). It will thicken and start to look like a thick mash potato mixture, remove it from the heat and dump it onto some baking paper to cool.

Egg cups are great! Pair them with some pipe-cleaners, googly eyes and confetti or beads!
