No Cook Energy Balls for Kids

I am always looking for healthy and yummy things to add to my kids lunch boxes. I have seen so many ‘Energy Ball’ Recipes around and wanted to try my hand at my own recipe…I surprised myself and made this delicious recipe that my kids actually eat! YES!

To make your own you will need:
1/2 cup peanut butter (I used an organic brand)
1/2 cup ground LSA (this is ground Linseed, Sunflower seeds and Almonds – I sneak this into pancakes too for added protein)
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/2 cup oats
1/3 cup honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1tbs sunflower kernals (you could also use seeds)
1/2 cup dried cranberries
Method
No Cook Energy Balls - one bowl too!
Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix until well combined. The kids loved this part – get their little hands in there mixing!
Step 2
Roll into balls about 1 inch in diameter and place on a tray
Step 3
Place into the fridge for 30 minutes until set.

These are delicious in the lunchbox, picnics, playdates, a great party treat or for an afternoon snack.

  1. Any ideas for substations on the peanut butter? Just found out my kiddo is slightly allergic but this recipe looks amazing!!! Thanks in advance

      1. I love wow butter. I use it in anything I make to share with others since you never know who may have a nut allergy. It has a slightly stronger taste than peanut butter, but i think that makes it even better

    1. I use a recipe similar to this and replace peanut butter with sunflower butter. It can be found at most health food stores and in the health food sections of Superstore. They can be frozen!

  2. This will be great for after school snacks. I will swap Coconut oil & almond meal to replace peanut butter & las.

    1. Hi Angie,

I’m sorry but we don’t have that information available as we don’t personally track our calories. Sorry we couldn’t be of more help to you.

  3. How many days would you say these are okay to keep in the fridge? Just made some and they are amazing!
