Easy Slow Cooker Sausage Casserole

Easy Slow Cooker Sausage CasseroleEasy Slow Cooker Sausage CasseroleMy kids & husband love sausages & I love my slow cooker so this Easy Slow Cooker Sausage Casserole works really well for our family as I hope it does yours!

Ingredients

1 tbs olive oil

500g lean chipolata sausages

1 medium brown onion, halved & sliced

3 garlic cloves crushes

2 x 400g can diced tomatoes

400g can cannelloni beans – drained & rinsed

1/4 cup BBQ Sauce

1 tbs brown sugar

Chopped Flat Leaf Parsley to serve

Method

Heat half the oil in a large,  saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook sausages, in batches, turning, for 5 to 6 minutes or until browned all over. Transfer to your slow cooker.

Heat remaining oil in pan. Add onion and garlic. Cook, stirring, for 5 to 6 minutes or until onion has softened. Add beans, tomato, barbecue sauce and sugar.

Add the sauce to the sausages and cook on low for 6 hours until the sausages are cooked through and the sauce has thickened. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve with green beans and/or mashed potato. YUMMY!

  1. Hi! I am an infant teacher at a local Christian daycare. I have 3 babies that I take care of, an almost 1 yo girl, an almost 8 mo girl, and a 7 mo girl. I have done both finger and footprints with paint, but I kind of draw a blank in what other activities I can do with them? Looking for sensory play and crafts for them to give parents as presents- possibly a 1st year birthday present for the parents? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks
    Jenni
