Family Friendly Holiday at Mantra Crown Towers Surfers Paradise – a review.

Mantra Crown Towers Resort

My husband and I recently made a last minute decision to have a mini family holiday over the Easter School Holidays… I was apprehensive about visiting a resort during the peek holiday period but I shouldn’t have worried as it turned out to be one of the best mini getaways we’ve had!!

I remembered seeing a friend’s post on Facebook about her holiday at the Mantra Crown Towers Resort so I looked them up on the Internet to make a booking. Although all the information was available on their great website I decided to call their reception and personally make the booking.  I was so glad I did as I was fortunate enough to speak with the Front of House supervisor who was extremely friendly and very helpful…with her help I was able to book a lovely room to match our family’s needs – right down to organising a port-a-cot for my son.

With our last minute reservation made it was time to get packed for our adventure! Their lovely staff had mentioned the heated swimming areas that also included a water slide so multiple pairs of swimwear were packed first :).

We were greeted by several friendly staff upon our arrival, they made sure we knew the locations of everything we might need and checked us into the room…and what a magnificent room it was! *pictured above

The rooms were spacious with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry, two bathrooms, living area and two bedrooms. They were spotlessly clean and had an amazing ocean view…Miss 5 did not want to waste any time before hitting the fabulous heated swimming pool and play facilities (the most popular being the Water Slide & mysterious Shark Cave). Master 2 also enjoyed playing on the playground and swimming in the pool – their facilities are designed to be enjoyed by a  full age range of children.

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast each morning at the poolside cafe, you can also buy a full range of drinks and snacks throughout the day, or perhaps purchase some great pool & beach toys!

Breakfast

We also dined at each of the restaurants located in the resort – both had wonderful service and some very tasty meals – my husband particularly enjoyed the scrumptious seafood dish from the Thai Restaurant. It’s also just a short stroll to Cavil Avenue which has a very large number of lovely and diverse restaurants.  We were also pleased to see a new Tram line being built that will stop just shy of the resort entrance – this will make a great addition to the convenience of this resort location.

Resort loby and resturant

The tropical surrounds and amenities are all very well maintained and clean – there are many places around the resorts grounds to find a quite place to read or relax (especially in one of the two Hot Tubs!).

All in all this was a wonderful, friendly and clean resort. Terrific value for a family holiday where there is no need to leave the resort – we actually had to drag Miss 5 to go and visit the theme parks…she said she would rather stay at the resort!! Looking at the bellow pictures I think I know why!

Waterslide action!
