Make your own Goo
This is the coolest thing ever! Who knew that cornflour and water would make such a strange thing! It’s like a wet sand one minute, then total gooey loveliness the next! A little science rolled into the fun too!
To make your own Goo, you will need:
2 packs of cornflour (300g)
2 cups of water
Food colouring

Add your cornflour to a large bowl
Then add your water & food colouring
Give it a really good mix until all ingredients are combined.
I make sure I put Gladbake under most of the kids crafts – it saves on a lot of cleaning time!
Then just play with it! The kids that is…ok, so it’s a little bit fun for Mummy’s too! ; )

Hello from across the pond. Could you tell me, is your goo grainy?? I’m trying to figure out if your cornflour is like our corn meal or our corn starch. I have 4 grandsons (ages 14, 6 and 5 yr old twins) who would all love this. We made something similar when I worked in the child care system 10 years ago and we kept ours in ziplock baggies and it kept for several days until the kids pretty much played it out. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the recipe. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful ideas.
Hello Vicki! Lovely to have you with us. No the cornflour that we use is very fine….I believe another name for is is Cornstarch. Your Grandkids are lucky to have such a fun Grandma! Jenni x
I tried this on a smaller scale with 1/2 cup of water AND regular flour and it worked the same.
