I just LOVE this recipe, it’s simple and FUN to make (like a mini science experiment), very low cost and it is really wonderful to paint with!
You will need:
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup corn flour/corn starch
2 cups water
I made two batches to fill 6, 110 gram bottles.
Place all of your ingredients (except for the food colouring) into a saucepan on a low to medium heat and stir for about a minute a or so to combine all of the ingredients.
Then boost up the heat to high for another minute or so stirring continuously. You will notice the corn flour will start to separate into clumps. Don’t panic, these will stir out & become one with the mixture again : )
Turn the heat down to medium and keep stirring until your mixture thickens.
Let your mixture cool then place into your desired jars/cups/paint pots.
Add food colouring to create your desired colours and mix well (don’t forget to show the kids how cool it is to watch blue & red turn into purple etc).
These are some masterpieces the little cherubs created!
