I am lucky that my two kiddies are pretty good at ‘striking a pose’ and smiling when I want to take their photo…but sometimes it can be difficult! I came across these whilst lost in the vortex that is Pinterest and thought “Mmm, I bet I could make my own” and so I did! I wanted to do an Elmo, a Cookie Monster & Master L’s favourite, an Angry Bird. They are seriously inexpensive, easy to do and they look fantastic. A guaranteed way to get a smile on any little ones face!
You will need:
Scrunchies – red & blue (my local $2 store had them – 2 for $2.50) red & blue
Googly eyes (large ones)
Orange Pom poms
Black Felt
Glue Gun
So first, it’s a good idea to place your scrunchie over a cup that is a similiar size to your lens (we certainly don’t want glue getting on our precious baby right!).
Cookie Monster: Simply glue 2 googly eyes close together.
Elmo: Glue on two googly eyes & an orange pom pom for his nose
Angry Bird: I cut two strips of black felt for the eyebrows & a small triangle from yellow felt for the beak. Glue them in place and you are good to go!
